Ok, this will be my first review.. Don’t shoot me guys I am still learning. I have never made notes before, which I regret. I love whisky for a long time now and had some really good drams, but sometimes I just can’t remember how they taste, which I think is a pity. So this will be my journal, my way to discover the big world of whisky, and also a nice way to explore if my taste will develop in the years to come. Don’t mind my bad English, it’s been a while since I wrote / spoke English, so it is a bit rusty. Will be improving I hope. 😉

A first review note for this Ardbeg Ten. You all know I like Islay whiskies in general so I think this classic would be something to my liking. It is the most popular whisky from Ardbeg en the only one with an age statement.

Ardbeg Ten is non chill-filtered and bottled at 46% a.b.v.

Let’s taste Ardbeg Ten:

Nose: Peat, smoke, lemon, salt, maritime

Taste: Peat, tar, bbq smoke, it’s got some earthy notes, pepper, liquorice, lemon and hints of vanilla.

Finish: A long, smoky finish with some sweetness and pepper.

This is a very nice and well-balanced dram but nothing to fancy. Price – quality is perfectly in balance and you just can’t go wrong with this one.
