The Dingle Samhain is the first release in the relatively new limited edition Wheel of The Year series. The name Samhain comes from the Celtic festival of the same name, which heralded the start of winter. So, that’s right on time, Noortje! Now spring has just started…🙄⁠

The young Dutch importer @hogsheads.imports has not been around for very long but has already built an excellent portfolio. In the meantime, he has now also released his own bottlings. A series with an old-school look to it, which I love and am very curious about. This 11 year old Benrinnes will be the first on the menu, but he also sent me some samples that I will taste as soon as possible to get to know this label a bit more. So that's another review on the way. Stay tuned, folks! 😉
I'm back! It took a while, but I caught a bad cold that just wouldn't go away. So whisky has been a bit out of the question these past few weeks. Luckily, it's finally coming to an end, so I'll pick up reviewing next week.⁠
This Orkney 2006 from Van Wees is the third and second to last from the lineup of the family tasting. One that we had to get used to at first, but as the evening went on, it got better and better. Whether this was due to our mood that became increasingly cheerful or whether it really needed some time to develop…. Well, we will test that today. 😊⁠
